Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly ready to offload a number of high-profile players this summer in the wake of his side's Champions League exit.
Zidane steered Los Blancos to only their second La Liga title since 2012 this term, but Madrid's Champions League campaign ended at the hands of Manchester City in the last 16.
The newly-crowned Spanish champions are eager to trim their wage bill in an attempt to ease the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, and Marca reports that Zidane has identified a number of players who are surplus to requirements.
Top of that list is Gareth Bale, who was left out of the squad entirely for the second leg against Man City and has been told that he is not part of Zidane's plans going forward.
However, Bale is not thought to have any interest in leaving Madrid, and his refusal to lower his £30m-a-year wage demands is proving to be a major stumbling block for any interested parties.
James Rodriguez is another player on significant wages but who has failed to secure a regular first-team spot under Zidane, with the Colombian also up for sale this summer.
Zidane has also given the green light for Luka Jovic and Luka Modric to leave the club during the current transfer window.
