Rennes have moved up to fourth place in the Ligue 1 table thanks to a 2-0 victory over Valenciennes at the Route de Lorient.
The hosts took the lead with just five minutes on the clock thanks to Julien Feret's strike.
Valenciennes nearly levelled the match just seconds after the restart, but Vincent Aboubaka's header came back off the post.
Jonathan Pitroipa then found the net with 20 minutes left to play to give Rennes the three points.
