Preview: Palermo vs. Roma

Sports Mole takes a closer look at each side's form ahead of Saturday's meeting between Palermo and Roma.

Roma have the chance to go level on points with Juventus for a short period when they make the trip to Palermo on Saturday evening.

Juventus are not in action until Sunday night against Verona, meaning that Rudi Garcia's side can pile the pressure on the champions by getting back to winning ways.

Francesco Totti saved the day last weekend as he scored twice to secure a 2-2 draw against Lazio in the Rome derby, although it was his selfie celebration which grabbed more of the headlines.

Falling two goals behind in the first half of that match was enough to bring Kevin Strootman and Adem Ljajic on at the break, and the duo are expected to return to the starting lineup after playing key roles in the second-half fightback.

Palermo are looking for a reaction of their own after Sunday's 4-3 defeat to Fiorentina ended their nine-match unbeaten run in Serie A.

Despite the loss, Giuseppe Iachini is unlikely to make major changes to his side, but Robin Quaison could be handed a start after scoring twice as a second-half substitute.

Palermo:

Recent form: WDWDWL

Possible starting lineup: Sorrentino, Munoz, Gonzalez, Feddal, Morganella, Rigoni, Quaison, Barreto, Lazaar, Vazquez, Dybala

Roma:

Form in Serie A: WDWDWD
Form in all competitions: DLWDWD

Possible starting lineup: De Sanctis; Maicon, Manolas, Astori, Holebas; Pjanic, De Rossi, Strootman; Ljajic, Totti, Destro

Sports Mole says: 1-2
