Preview: Poland vs. Scotland

Sports Mole peers ahead to the Euro 2016 qualifier on Tuesday as Scotland travel to Warsaw to face Poland in Group D.

Scotland's third match of Euro 2016 qualifying sees them travel to Warsaw to face a Poland side that are flying after victory over world champions Germany.

Last night at the National Stadium, Poland stunned the recent World Cup winners with two second-half goals that put them top of Group D with six points out of six.

Gordon Strachan's Scots are also on a high after they edged past Georgia to pick up their first points of the campaign following a spirited defeat to the Germans in their first match.

Captain Scott Brown missed the opener in Dortmund but made his return to skipper the side last night and should continue in central midfield.

Poland, who have qualified for the last two Euro tournaments in 2008 and 2012, are now level on points with the Republic of Ireland at the top of the group and will fancy their chances of reaching another finals after last night's historic victory.

Led by Adam Nawalka, it was the White and Reds first ever win over Germany and it is likely that a similar XI to the one that started on Saturday will line up against the Scots.

These two sides met earlier this year in a friendly, also at Warsaw's National Stadium, with Scotland coming out on top 1-0 thanks to a 77th-minute strike from captain Brown.

Poland have won just one of their previous five home matches against Scotland.
