Roberto Soldado eyes swift response to FA Cup disappointment

Roberto Soldado urges Tottenham Hotspur to make an immediate response to their FA Cup loss to Leicester City.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has stressed the importance of producing a response to the side's FA Cup fourth-round exit.

Two late goals for Leicester City condemned Spurs to defeat at White Hart Lane on Saturday, but Soldado believes that Mauricio Pochettino's team must not let the disappointment have a negative impact on their performances in the Premier League, League Cup and Europa League.

"It was a bad day for us, an unlucky game," the Spaniard told the club's official website.

"The FA Cup is an important competition for us and we have a good squad of players who want to compete in these games, but now the FA Cup is over for us and we need to look forward.

"We are still in the Capital One Cup and we have the Premier League and Europa League challenges as well. These are very important competitions and we need to be confident going into our matches. We have some big games ahead."

Spurs head into the second leg of the League Cup semi-final against Sheffield United with a 1-0 advantage.
