Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has revealed his delight with the progress he has made under Mauricio Pochettino this season.
The Algerian broke into the side during Tim Sherwood's reign before becoming the team's first-choice central midfielder alongside fellow academy graduate Ryan Mason earlier in the current campaign, and he believes that his form is proof of his development.
"I still have a lot to learn but I feel I've stepped up from last season," Bentaleb told the club's website. "That was the start for me, now I'm playing more and more, getting confidence and that maturity.
"I feel I'm growing as a player, especially in the middle of the pitch. You have responsibility in there at both ends of the pitch. It's a key position."
Spurs are back in action with a visit to Southampton on Saturday.
