Michael Dawson: 'Tottenham Hotspur devastated by Manchester City thrashing'

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson admits that his teammates are "devastated" following Sunday's 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has admitted that his teammates are "devastated" following their 6-0 thrashing against Manchester City.

Spurs suffered their heaviest defeat in the Premier League since 1997 on Sunday as they were hammered at the Etihad Stadium.

"You don't say a lot after losing 6-0. Everyone is devastated," Dawson told the club's official website. "The fans travelled in their thousands again and it's a hard day for everyone.

"We maybe could have nicked a goal to go to 1-1 but after that there was only one winner."

Tottenham have the chance to get back to winning ways on Thursday when they travel to Norway to face Tromso IL in the Europa League.
