Hugo Lloris hails "excellent" Tottenham Hotspur spirit

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris praises the team's "spirit" following their goalless draw with Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

Hugo Lloris has praised Tottenham Hotspur's "spirit" during their goalless draw with Manchester United this afternoon.

The hosts survived a dominant first half from from Louis van Gaal's side to ensure that they picked up a point against their top-four rivals at White Hart Lane.

"We stayed in the game because we were strong defensively and we kept fighting. We were close to a big chance and our spirit was excellent," BBC Sport quotes the French goalkeeper as saying.

The result moves Tottenham back above Arsenal into sixth in the table, although the Gunners are yet to play today.
