Mauricio Pochettino hails "fantastic" Dele Alli

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino hails the "fantastic" Dele Alli after he came off the bench to set up the only goal of the game against Watford.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has praised the impact made by Dele Alli after coming off the bench during his side's 1-0 win over Watford this afternoon.

Alli started amongst the substitutes for Spurs having felt dizzy during Tuesday's match against Norwich City, but was eventually introduced just past the hour mark at White Hart Lane.

It took the 19-year-old just three minutes to make a telling impact, crossing the ball for Kieran Trippier to score the only goal of the game, and Pochettino was full of praise for the England international.

"He is a very good player, a fantastic player," Pochettino told reporters.

"It was difficult for him Tuesday because he felt bad and it was impossible to play on in the game.

"Today we took a decision to look after him, he is very young. The decision was to start him on the bench and in the second half he made a real impact when he came on the pitch."

The victory leaves Tottenham second in the Premier League table, just five points off leaders Leicester City.
