Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente reveals that he 'would love' to return to La Liga at the end of the season.

Fernando Llorente has revealed that he 'would love' to return to La Liga at the end of the season.

Llorente will see his current deal with Tottenham Hotspur expire in June, and it is seen as unlikely that the experienced striker will pen an extension with the Premier League club.

The 33-year-old has turned out for Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla in La Liga, and he has revealed that he is desperate to return to Spain for the 2019-2020 campaign.

"I've been away from home for many years, I'd love to go back to the Spanish league," Llorente told Sport.

Llorente has only managed six Tottenham goals since arriving at the capital club from Swansea City in 2017.

The most prolific spell of the forward's career came in the Bilbao first team between 2005 and 2013, when he managed 111 goals in 327 appearances in all competitions.
