Robert Martinez 'to hold Kevin Mirallas talks this summer'

Roberto Martinez reveals that he will discuss Kevin Mirallas's Everton future at the end of the season.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez will reportedly talk to Kevin Mirallas about his future at the end of the season.

The Belgian international is believed to be keen on securing Champions League football and had been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur before the end of the January transfer window.

However, Martinez has suggested that he will not rush a decision on whether the winger will stay at Goodison Park.

"Every player needs to be pleased and happy with that, so in the summer we'll sit down and assess what has been," Martinez told the Daily Mail. "For that reason the next seven games are vital and will give you a much clearer picture of what you do in the summer.

"I know there have been a couple of times he's had quotes translated from interviews. I don't think anything he has said is disrespectful or out of the norm. The way I see it he's one of those players who loves playing football and he hasn't got any other motivation.

"He still has a two year contract. If he were out of contract, I would be worried, but all I want is for him to be fully recovered."

Martinez has also sung the praises of fellow wide player Aaron Lennon since his loan move from Spurs. It is thought that Lennon will cost the Blues around £6m, if they want to sign him on a permanent basis.
