Tottenham Hotspur scout Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi during Saturday's clash with Trabzonspor, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly had scouts in attendance for Fenerbahce's league game against Trabzonspor on Saturday in order to watch Vedat Muriqi in action.

A number of clubs, including Manchester United, were credited with an interest in the 25-year-old during the latter stages of the January transfer window.

The Kosovo international has been in impressive form this season, scoring 13 times in 21 appearances in all competitions for his Turkish club.

According to Turkish-Football, scouts from Spurs watched the striker during Fenerbahce's 2-1 loss, while Aston Villa and Leicester City also had representatives at the same match.

Muriqi, who only joined the Yellow Canaries from Caykur Rizespor last summer, scored once and provided two assists in Kosovo's 5-3 defeat to England last October.

Jose Mourinho's side ultimately did not sign a new striker during the winter transfer window despite the fact that Harry Kane will be on the sidelines until at least April following hamstring surgery.
