Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has revealed that he is aware of Atletico Madrid's interest in signing him.
The 23-year-old has largely struggled for consistency in his first season in North London but has already chalked up 33 appearances for the Lilywhites, registering one goal and one assist in the Premier League.
Emerson's patchy form has led to suggestions that Spurs could entertain bids for the right-back this summer, with La Liga champions Atletico rumoured to be one of the interested parties.
The former Barcelona man has now acknowledged the interest from across the continent, but he has affirmed that he wants to enjoy the "good moment" he is in at Tottenham.
"Yes, it has come to me that Atletico has been interested in me. But now I'm in a good moment at Tottenham, I don't know what will happen in the future. I like that the teams are watching my football," Emerson told Cadena SER.
Emerson signed a deal at Tottenham until 2026 upon his summer arrival and scored his first goal for Antonio Conte's side in last weekend's 5-1 thumping of Newcastle United.
