England captain Harry Kane has expressed his disappointment with his lack of goals in the knockout stages of the World Cup but would nonetheless be "very proud" to win the Golden Boot.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker remains in pole position for the accolade of highest goalscorer at Russia 2018 with a return of six goals.
Three of Kane's strikes came in the 6-1 win over Panama, two were scored in the 2-1 defeat of Tunisia, and the sole goal outside of the Group G games was a penalty against Colombia.
"It shows we had a good group stage, scored a lot of goals," Kane told ITV Sport. "Obviously I'm disappointed I couldn't get a goal in the last few games.
"Sometimes it goes for you, sometimes it doesn't. But if I win it, it'll be something I'll be very proud of."
France duo Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann are currently on three goals apiece ahead of Sunday's final against Croatia.
