French midfielder Alfred N'Diaye has travelled to Sunderland ahead of the completion of his £4m move to the Stadium of Light.
N'Diaye was spotted at Sunderland's training ground on Tuesday after the Mackems agreed a fee with Bursaspor for the France Under-21 international.
The 22-year-old is primarily a midfielder but has also played at centre-back during the early stages of his career.
Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is actively seeking chances to strengthen his squad after an underwhelming start to the season, with Swansea City striker Danny Graham also strongly linked with the Black Cats.
