Danny Higginbotham: 'Poor decision from Swansea City to sack Garry Monk'

Danny Higginbotham says that Swansea City have made a "poor decision" sacking Garry Monk.

Former Premier League defender Danny Higginbotham has described Garry Monk's sacking at Swansea City as a "poor decision".

The Welsh club parted company with Monk as the team have earned just one victory in their last 11 Premier League appearances.

Monk had been at the club for 11 years, spending 10 of them playing in the team, but the Swans have opted to make a change.

Higginbotham tweeted: "Poor decision at Swansea. Fear of relegation + the financial ramifications especially this season has lead 2 a hasty decision in my opinion."

Last season, Monk guided Swansea to eighth in the Premier League - their best finish in the top flight.
