Inter Milan forward Bocar Djumo will spend the next month with Tranmere Rovers with a view to signing a long-term contract with the League One club.
The 18-year-old, who is reported to be keen on a move to England, will be assessed by Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore in the coming weeks.
"He's costing us nothing and he's here for a month for us to look at and if we fancy him, we can take him until the end of the season or until January," Moore told Rovers' official website.
"He's a left-footed striker who can also play wide on the left. We've got nothing to lose and maybe an awful lot to gain."
Moore currently has a number of players on trial at the club.
