Team News: Dwight Gayle handed Crystal Palace start

Dwight Gayle is included in the Crystal Palace XI for this afternoon's Premier League clash away at Watford.

Dwight Gayle has been included in the Crystal Palace XI for this afternoon's Premier League clash away at Watford.

Gayle will lead the line for the visitors ahead of both Frazier Campbell and Wilfried Zaha, who are among the substitutes. Yannick Bolasie, who signed a new long-term deal with Alan Pardew's side last week, is also included in the XI.

James McArthur and Alex McCarthy have also dropped to the bench, meaning that there are starts for both Wayne Hennessey and Joe Ledley.

As for Watford, they are unchanged from the team that beat Newcastle United last time out. Skipper Troy Deeney is still waiting for his first Premier League goal, but has formed a good partnership with in-form Odion Ighalo.

There is a change on the Watford bench, however, with Juan Carlos Paredes coming in for Tommie Hoban.

Watford: Gomes; Nyom, Cathcart, Prodl, Anya; Capoue, Watson; Abdi, Deeney, Jurado; Ighalo
Subs: Arlauskis, Paredes, Ake, Guedioura, Ibarbo, Berghuis, Diamanti

Crystal Palace: Hennessey; Kelly, Dann, Hangeland, Souare; Ledley, Cabaye; Puncheon, Sako, Bolasie; Gayle
Subs: McCarthy, Croll, Mariappa, McArthur, Zaha, Gray, Campbell
