West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long has played down the seriousness of his recent heart problems in the aftermath of the cardiac arrest suffered by Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba on Saturday.
Long, 25, suffered from the swelling of fluid around his heart earlier in the season, but has since returned to health.
"I was affected by something called pericarditis, which is a swelling of the fluid around the heart. It sounds a lot more serious than it is. It was scary stuff at the time. But I had a MOT and I know I'm in good health," Long told the Express & Star.
Long has scored six goals for the Baggies this season.
