West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has said that his team will emerge from Saturday's 3-2 home defeat to Manchester City "with a lot of credit".
The Baggies lost by the odd goal at The Hawthorns as City continued their unbeaten start to the 2017-18 campaign.
West Brom have now won just one of their five home Premier League matches this season, but Pulis has taken the positives from the defeat to Pep Guardiola's league leaders.
"The lads really worked hard. There is a gulf in quality in certain areas of the pitch," Pulis told reporters. "You look at Salomon Rondon's chance in the first half and Grzegorz Krychowiak's chance - there was a couple of opportunities you hope you can take.
"It's difficult against a team this good, but the lads will come out with a lot of credit. I thought we would get chances irrespective of the City side."
A total of 10 points from 10 matches has left West Brom in 14th position in the Premier League table.
