West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has apologised to the team's travelling fans following Saturday's heavy defeat at West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup.
The Hammers were knocked out in the fifth round of the competition courtesy of a 4-0 thrashing at The Hawthorns.
While admitting his own disappointment at the result, Gold has said sorry to the West Ham supporters who made the trip to the Midlands.
A disappointed performance today. I feel sorry for myself but most of all I feel sorry for the thousands of traveling West Ham fans. dg
