Jussi Jaaskelainen has urged his West Ham United teammates to "keep digging deep" as they battle against relegation from the Premier League.
The Hammers moved one point above the drop zone on Saturday thanks to a goalless draw with fellow strugglers Sunderland at Upton Park.
Despite the team's disappointing form in recent weeks, Jaaskelainen believes that they will soon start climbing the table if their hard work continues.
"We just need to keep digging deep," the goalkeeper told the club's official website. "We've been a little low on confidence but we don't need to be like that because we've not been playing badly.
"We've got eight clean sheets and we definitely should have a few more points, but if we keep working hard and keep believing we will turn this around."
West Ham return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
