Roberto Martinez expects swift Jean Beausejour return

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez reveals that Jean Beausejour should return from a hamstring injury sooner rather than later.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that Jean Beausejour should return from injury sooner rather than later.

The winger picked up a hamstring problem during the Latics' 2-2 draw with Stoke City on September 1.

"The scan he had after the Stoke game revealed that he had a tear in his hamstring, so now he's in a stage of recovery and we're assessing how long that will take," Martinez told reporters.

"It's too early to predict when he'll be able to return to action, but he's progressing well and hopefully it won't be too long."

Wigan continue their Premier League campaign at Manchester United on Saturday.
