Wigan Athletic are closing in on a deal to sign Sunderland winger James McClean, according to a report.
The Latics are hopeful of sealing a £2m transfer for the Republic of Ireland international but could face competition from Blackburn Rovers.
However, Coyle is confident that he can lure the 24-year-old to the club after falling down in the pecking order at Sunderland following the signing of Emanuele Giaccherini, reports the Daily Mail.
McClean has made 70 appearances for the Black Cats in his two years at the club.
