Preview: Charlton Athletic vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole previews the Championship clash between in-form sides Wolverhampton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic at the Valley on Tuesday.

Two of the top five go head-to-head when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit Charlton Athletic in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

The hosts remain unbeaten in the league this season, with three wins and three draws since the campaign begun, including a 1-0 win over Watford at the weekend.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson is likely to miss the match, having lasted less than half an hour on Saturday after sustaining a groin injury while on international duty for Iceland.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Wolves have also been in strong form at the start of this season, with four wins from their opening six matches leaving them third in the table.

Captain Sam Ricketts missed the goalless draw against Blackpool on Saturday after aggravating a hip problem while training with Wales earlier this month, but was an unused substitute, so could be fit to return at the Valley.

There are no new injuries for manager Kenny Jackett, although new signing George Swan could miss out again, having been with the club for less than a week.

The sides last met during the 2012-13 season, with Charlton securing four points from the two fixtures.
