Connor defiant after Wolves mauling
Wolves interim manager Terry Connor believes that his side can still avoid the drop, despite going bottom of the table after a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United.

Wolverhampton Wanderers interim manager Terry Connor has told his players to "keep believing" in their Premier League survival hopes after a 5-0 defeat to Manchester United.

The thrashing at Molineux has seen the Midlands club slump to the bottom of the table.

"The message to the players and to everyone is: 'Keep believing'," said Connor. "We've got nine more games to play, we've got Norwich next week, Bolton the week after, we're on 22 points, the same as Wigan and QPR. We're not out of it.

"We are looking forward to trying to make sure next week we are competitive again, to try and take something from the Norwich game and then, to get enough points to get above that dotted line.

"We've been bottom of the league before and we've managed the last two years to get above that dotted line."

Connor took over at the club last month following the sacking of Mick McCarthy.
