Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly attempt to sign a new goalkeeper during the January transfer window.
Recently-appointed head coach Julen Lopetegui is eager to make changes to his first-team squad in a bid to boost the club's chances of avoiding relegation from the Premier League.
The Spaniard has already pulled off a major addition, with Wolves announcing on Christmas Day that they had completed the acquisition of Atletico Madrid forward Matheus Cunha.
Nevertheless, while solving Wolves' issues in the final third is a primary concern, it appears that Lopetegui also has reservations about his backline.
According to the Express & Star, the West Midlands outfit are in the market for more competition between the sticks.

As it stands, Jose Sa is the undisputed number one, the Portuguese making a total of 53 appearances since his arrival from Olympiacos last year.
While the report indicates that will remain the case, Lopetegui is said to want to replace Matija Sarkic as the club's deputy to Sa.
The 25-year-old has been on Wolves' books since 2020 and has developed into a solid backup, helped by productive loan spells at Shrewsbury Town and Birmingham City.
Such was the level of the Montenegro international's performances with the latter that he was promoted to number two at Molineux, and has featured in two EFL Cup ties this term.

Sarkic has impressed in both ties versus Preston North End and Leeds United, particular the latter as he kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory.
However, the report suggests Lopetegui is prepared to either sell or loan out Sarkic at the midway point of the campaign, preferring to have a more experienced stopper in reserve.
The alleged development will likely see Sarkic attract widespread interest from the EFL having kept 10 shutouts in 23 outings for Birmingham during 2021-22.
Sarkic is expected to remain in the Wolves squad for the Premier League fixture at Everton on Boxing Day.
