Preview: Yeovil Town vs. Doncaster Rovers

Sports Mole previews Saturday's massive relegation clash between Yeovil and Doncaster at Huish Park.

Yeovil Town and Doncaster Rovers meet in a huge Championship relegation battle at Huish Park this Saturday.

The hosts are currently bottom of the table having gone five league games without a victory, picking up just two points from a possible 15 in that time.

They are in danger of being cut adrift at the bottom if they don't begin to pick up points more regularly, but a decent 0-0 draw against in-form Watford will have handed them a small confidence boost.

However, they remain six points from safety and face an uphill battle to avoid making their first stint in the second tier of English football a brief one.

Their home form has been a major reason for their league position having picked up just two wins and 10 points in front of their own fans all season.

Back-to-back draws shows the slightest glimmer of improvement, but Saturday's match is not far from being a must-win encounter for Gary Johnson and his side.

Johnson does have the advantage of having a fully-fit squad to choose from, and he could well name an unchanged side to the one that held Watford on Tuesday.

As poor as Yeovil's home form has been, Doncaster's away performances have been even worse.

They have only managed one victory on the road this season, and their tally of eight points is even less than the Glovers have managed at home.

It is very much their form on the road that is holding Rovers back after a surge of good home results saw them climb out of the relegation zone.

They now occupy 20th place in the Championship table and are a relatively comfortable six points from safety, although that gap would look a lot more precarious should they lose on Saturday.

They have only been beaten once in their last six matches, picking up two victories and three draws during that spell - a remarkable improvement on just two points from a possible 27 in the nine games prior to that.

However, the improvement is hard to see when it comes to just their away form, with no wins in 11 and three points from a possible 33 in that time.

Doncaster will be without the suspended Billy Sharp for the match, while Jamie McCombe and Rob Jones are both still sidelined with injuries.
