Paul Anderson will replace Nathan Brown as the coach of Huddersfield Giants at the end of next season.

Super League side Huddersfield Giants have announced that Paul Anderson will become their new coach at the end of next season.

Anderson, who is currently the club's assistant coach, will take over the role from Nathan Brown.

Brown has been in charge at the Galpharm Stadium for three years but recently confirmed that he intends to return to his native Australia.

"It was a difficult decision to make as the players, the club and the whole local community have been very accepting and supportive of myself and my family," said Brown.

"We remain 100% committed to the Giants in 2012 but the management and myself decided it was in the best interests of everyone that this decision was made early and announced now to save all of the speculation.

"The past four years have in my opinion seen Paul grow as a coach and he is as ready as he is going to be for the top job."

Anderson played for Leeds Rhinos, Bradford Bulls and St Helens during his career.
