Bristol have announced that James Grindal has been appointed as the club's captain ahead of the new campaign.
The scrum half, who donned the captain's armband eight times last season, was handed the responsibility after being voted in by his teammates.
"I'm incredibly proud to be taking on the role of club captain," Grindal told the club's official website. "It's an honour to have been voted by my peers and I'll do my utmost to represent Bristol Rugby in a positive fashion.
"This is a fantastic club to be involved with, and everybody is looking forward to what promises to be an exciting season. I'm dedicated to aiding the growth and development of Bristol Rugby, on and off the field."
The role will include becoming an ambassador for the club.
