Andy Murray blames his return of serve for his Sony Ericsson final defeat to Novak Djokovic.

Andy Murray has cited his poor return of serve for his straight-sets defeat to Novak Djokovic in the Sony Ericsson Open final in Miami on Sunday.

Djokovic took the title after dominating the tie to claim a 6-1 7-6 (7/4) victory, which Murray feels was down to his return.

"I didn't return well which is normally one of the best parts of my game. That was the difference, in my opinion," Murray told the ATP website.

"[I was] not getting into enough of his service games because I missed too many returns.

"If I was able to get into more longer rallies on his service games, then maybe it would have been a different result in the second set."

The win was Djokovic's first title since the Australian Open in January.
