Andy Murray admits that he feels relieved to have overcome Feliciano Lopez in three sets at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.

Andy Murray has admitted that he feels fortunate to have progressed past Feliciano Lopez at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.

The world number six overcame Lopez by a 7-6 5-7 6-4 scoreline but the match, which lasted two hours 29 minutes, was far from straightforward and the Scot has revealed that he was content to have sealed a place in the last four.

After the match, the 27-year-old said: "Lopez had break points and I had a lot of match points so I'm happy just to get through."

Murray will be back in action on Friday afternoon when he will play Rafael Nadal for a place in the final of the exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi.
