Tomas Berdych believes that Roger Federer is back to his best after being beaten by him in Paris.

Tomas Berdych has said that Roger Federer looked back to his "incredible" best after being beaten by the Swiss star in Paris on Saturday afternoon.

The Czech's run in the French capital ended in straight sets when the former world number one secured the 801st win of his career to progress to the final of the Paris Masters for the first time.

Speaking after the match, Berdych said that Federer looked back to his best.

"I would say, and I'm pretty confident to say, that that's the old Roger," he said. "You know, the years that he was really winning everything.

"We can count the unforced errors that he hit, like maybe, on the fingers on one hand, which is incredible. He started every set really great and just didn't give me any chance at all."

Federer will face the winner of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and John Isner tomorrow.
