Number one seed Novak Djokovic has sealed a place in the second round of the China Open with a 6-2 6-1 victory over Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
The Wimbledon champion started strongly by breaking his opponent's serve at the first time of asking, but Garcia-Lopez responded instantly with a break of his own.
Both relinquished their next service games, but Djokovic managed to take a hold of the contest with a double break to snatch the set.
The second set was a simpler affair for Djokovic as he eased to a break point in the fourth game to take a 3-1 lead, while Garcia-Lopez squandered a break point, leaving him on the back foot.
After taking a comfortable lead in the second set, Djokovic was able to grab another break in order to push on and win the match.
