Roger Federer beats Andy Murray to win the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Roger Federer has defeated Andy Murray in straight sets in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships this afternoon.

The Scot was able to match Federer for most of the opening set. However, at five games apiece, the former world number one made the most of his opportunities to break his opponent and serve for the match lead.

Federer maintained momentum in the following set and broke Murray to jump out to an early 3-1 lead. However, the Scot broke back immediately to level the score at three sets apiece.

The Swiss was not to be outdone, though, and broke again at four-sets-all to serve for the game, set and match.
