Carla Suarez Navarro has booked her spot in the third round of Wimbledon following a 1-6 6-3 6-3 victory over Mirjana Lucic-Baroni on Wednesday.
It was Lucic-Baroni that took control of the first set at 1-2, securing back-to-back breaks before serving out the first set in style.
Suarez Navarro responded in the second, however, breaking at 1-2 before serving her way into a 3-1 lead. Lucic-Baroni did manage to break back, but Suarez Navarro managed to close out the set to leave the match level at one set all.
There were four breaks of serve in the third and final set, but three came for Suarez Navarro as the experienced Spaniard booked her spot in the next round at the expense of her Croatian opponent.
