Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has expressed hope that the Gunners can lift the Champions League trophy, after significant investment in the team over the past few seasons.
The North Londoners have spent almost £200m since Giroud's arrival in 2012, bringing in the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla.
Giroud believes that Arsenal can now compete with Europe's best sides in the Champions League.
When asked about his ambitions for the competition, the Frenchman told the Daily Express: "To win it, remains an aim of mine.
"In the last few years, the signings have shown, we are building a team to rival the biggest."
Arsenal face AS Monaco in the last 16, with the first leg taking place at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
