Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that his team selection for Tuesday's Champions League group match against Olympiacos will not be affected by this weekend's showdown against Manchester United.
The Gunners will face United in the Premier League five days after they take on their Greek opponents in a crucial clash in Group F.
While managers at times pick their starting XI for a midweek game with one eye on their upcoming league fixture, Wenger has no plans to do the same.
"We play on Tuesday night and then Manchester United on Sunday - five days is no problem," Wenger told reporters. "It is more about what happens before.
"Some players had two tough games at Tottenham and at Leicester where they were a high level physically. I will have to analyse that and make my decisions."
Despite his claims, it is believed that Wenger will rest goalkeeper Petr Cech and play David Ospina between the sticks against Olympiacos at the Emirates.
