The Football Association has fined Arsenal's Jack Wilshere £40,000 and "severely warned" him about his future conduct after he led anti-Tottenham Hotspur chants at the club's FA Cup trophy parade.
The midfielder grabbed the microphone during the Gunners' open-top bus parade in North London, encouraging the supporters below to join in with expletive-filled songs about their rivals.
The FA confirmed this afternoon that Wilshere had accepted the charge, with his conduct "deemed to be improper and bringing the game into disrepute".
The 23-year-old recently made headlines for the right reasons by scoring two long-range goals for his country in England's 3-2 Euro 2016 qualifying win in Slovenia.
