Dani Alves admits that he would like to see former Barcelona teammate Alexis Sanchez join him at Paris Saint-Germain when his Arsenal contract expires next summer.

Paris Saint-Germain full-back Dani Alves has admitted that "it would be good" if his side were to win the race to land Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

The 28-year-old has been linked with numerous heavyweight clubs across the continent, including the likes of PSG, Manchester City and AC Milan.

Alves, who faced off against Sanchez in Brazil's 3-0 win against Chile in the early hours of Wednesday morning, hopes to see his former Barcelona teammate join him at the Parc des Princes at the end of the campaign when his Arsenal deal expires.

"He is wanted by many teams," he told reporters. "It would be good if he came with us. I will always appreciate him. I want what is best for him wherever he goes.

"I didn't want to speak to him much [at full time] because I know how tough it is and also because I didn't want for people to interpret things in a way that would have put my professionalism in doubt."

Alves made the switch to PSG from Juventus in the summer, having rejected the chance to reunite with Pep Guardiola at Man City.
