Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has said that he can cope with the pressure of scoring consistently for his new team this season.
Giroud failed to find the target in his first start against Stoke City last weekend, a match that made it two Premier League games without a goal for the Gunners.
The French international believes that once he has adjusted he will be ready to fire Arsenal into contention this season.
He told the club's official website: "I think you need a little pressure. There can be good pressure and there can be inhibitive, bad pressure that prevents you from expressing yourself on the field.
"I am ambitious but everywhere I go I need a little adjustment time before I am completely integrated.
"That is what's happening right now at Arsenal. I'm discovering a great atmosphere and a great club so I'm very happy."
Arsenal go in search of their first win of the season at Anfield on Sunday, when they play Liverpool.
