Pep Guardiola keen on Arsenal job?

A report claims that Pep Guardiola's top choice to manage in England is Arsenal and not Chelsea, Manchester United or Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola has reportedly informed Arsenal that they are his preferred club to manage should he opt to come to the Premier League.

The Spaniard is currently in the middle of a break from the game in New York following a four-year stint in charge of Barcelona.

However, his representatives recently told the Gunners that he would strongly consider taking over at the Emirates Stadium if Arsene Wenger decided to step down from the role in the summer, according to Goal.com.

"Guardiola's preference in England is Arsenal," a source said. "The club are aware he would be interested in the job in 2013.

The source went on to add that a "lack of stability" has put the 41-year-old off a switch to European Champions Chelsea.

"Guardiola doesn't want to go to Chelsea. He is worried about the lack of stability. He also has a good relationship with Wenger dating back to when he started doing his coaching badges at Arsenal," the source added.

While Arsenal are said to have no plans to sack Wenger, some reports have claimed that the Frenchman will call time on his spell with the club at the end of the season - which will mark 14 years as manager of the North London-based side.
