Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has claimed that the philosophies of Unai Emery and Arsene Wenger are "not too different".
Wenger spent 22 years with the North London outfit before being replaced by Emery during the summer, and it has been suggested that the Gunners will undergo a change in style under the Spaniard.
However, while acknowledging that there are differences between the pair, Mkhitaryan has insisted that the two managers also share a number of similarities.
The playmaker told Sky Sports News: "It's not too different but there are different things because there is not people playing in the same way or thinking in the same way, the philosophy is different.
"Emery kept the philosophy of Wenger but is building something new on it. He knows he can give something different to this club, like the balance between attack and defence. It's not easy but I think he's doing it in the right way."
Arsenal have suffered defeats to both Manchester City and Chelsea in the Premier League this month.
