Barcelona are reportedly monitoring the development of Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino, who scored on his first-team debut earlier this week.

Barcelona have reportedly identified Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino as a future transfer target.

The playmaker, who only turned 18 years of age in October, scored on his first-team debut earlier this week as Arsenal beat Sunderland by a 5-1 scoreline in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

While Patino will likely get further opportunities in cup competitions, it would come as a surprise if the prospect featured in the Premier League over the coming weeks.

Nevertheless, according to Marca, Barcelona intend to monitor the teenager's progression at the Emirates Stadium.

Although Patino has already represented England at Under-19 level, he has a Spanish father, something which creates an obvious link to clubs in La Liga.

The report also claims that the Spanish Football Federation may make a bid to tempt Patino into representing them in the future.
