Valencia head coach Unai Emery admits Juan Manuel Mata could leave this summer.

Valencia head coach Unai Emery has admitted that Juan Manuel Mata could leave if a "big-money offer comes in".

Spain international Mata has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs; Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly particularly keen on the winger.

Valencia are intent on keeping the 23-year-old and the player also wishes to stay at La Mestalla, but if the money is right the Spanish club are willing to sell as they are said to need the money.

"Valencia has to be prepared for a footballer having to leave, either because is he is not wanted or because some big club wants to sign him," Emery told Cadena Copa.

"We want him to stay and Mata has also expressed his wish to remain at Valencia, but we know that if a big-money offer comes in from any club and it's good for both the player and the club, it could lead to his exit."

Mata has made 11 senior international appearances and was part of the squad that won the Under-21 European Championship earlier this summer.
