Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has refused to confirm that the club are interested in luring Arsenal striker Robin van Persie to the Etihad Stadium.
The Dutchman, who recently claimed that he will not sign a fresh contract at the Emirates, is believed to be a top target for Manchester United, Juventus and the Premier League champions.
"It is difficult to say this at this moment because he is an Arsenal player and he is not our player," said Mancini.
"We know that Van Persie is a fantastic striker, but we have four strikers and with these strikers we won the Championship last year. But still, Van Persie is a top player. We can say different things about this but he is an Arsenal player."
Meanwhile, the Italian boss has claimed that he wants to bring new additions to the club as soon as possible.
