Newcastle United are reportedly one of four clubs who are ready to make an approach for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette.
The 30-year-old has recently found himself in Mikel Arteta's first XI, making a total of five starts and five substitute appearances this season.
However, the Frenchman's contract is due to expire at the end of the season, inevitably resulting in widespread interest in his signature.
According to The Sun, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are all monitoring any developments, aware that they can hold discussions with the player in January.
Nevertheless, Newcastle are also said to be interested in adding Lacazette to their ranks as they bid to make a number of high-profile additions at the turn of the year.
Arsenal allegedly have little interest in holding negotiations with their player over a new contract, regardless of the possibility of him leaving as a free agent in the summer.
