Report: Dan Crowley sent back to Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Dan Crowley sees his loan spell with League One side Barnsley cut short by two months.

Barnsley have reportedly cut short Dan Crowley's loan stint with the club.

The Arsenal midfielder arrived at Oakwell in the summer on a deal that was due to run until January.

However, having made 10 appearances for the Tykes, the Barnsley coaching staff have come to the conclusion that the midfielder is not ready for senior football, according to The Mirror.

As a result, it is believed that 18-year-old Crowley has returned to the Emirates Stadium, where he is likely to join up with Arsenal's Under-21 side.

The report adds that Barnsley will look to replace the youngster with a more experienced player.
