Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly rival Arsenal for the signature of Atletico Madrid forward Thomas Lemar this month.
The Frenchman has endured a disappointing 2019-20 campaign under Diego Simeone, managing just nine La Liga starts since August.
Arsenal expressed interest in Lemar during his time at Monaco, and Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on taking advantage of the player's current situation.
According to Foot Mercato, however, Spurs have now joined their North London rivals in the race to sign Lemar.
The latter, having joined Atletico for £63m in July 2018, is viewed as surplus to requirements by the Atletico hierarchy.
Spurs are said to be unable to fund a permanent move for the forward and will, as a result, look to sign Lemar on a loan basis with an option to buy in June.
