Arsene Wenger says that Arsenal are unlikely to bring any new additions to the club before Tuesday.

Arsene Wenger has hinted that Arsenal will not be making any signings in the final four days of the transfer window, despite a number of defensive injuries.

The North London side, who have lost their last three fixtures, have been quiet in the market this month but Wenger has claimed that none of the "big" clubs has been splashing the cash.

"At the moment we are not close to signing anybody," talkSPORT quotes Wenger as saying. "The transfer market is internal for us. We recently played with ten players out, to have only two or three out would help us a lot, much more than the transfer market.

"You can look around at all the big clubs and who bought players? Nobody because you can't find players at the moment who can strengthen big clubs."

Meanwhile, midfielder Jack Wilshere is expected to be delay his comeback from injury after suffering another setback.
